Totem. Wanted

Francisco Totem Perez is a chilean artist, who has been based in Berlin for many years. With a background as a theatre actor and stage director, he weaves emotions, thoughts and the madness of this pulsating city into his artworks. He works with painting, installation, sculptures or furniture and often includes recycled material, such as discarded advertising banners, construction materials and other treasures he found on the streets of Berlin.

The result is a mesmerizing mixture of abstract human-animal symbiosis. The situations and the setting of his unique characters are expressions of Totem’s view of our contemporary society and its events and happenings.
