Embroidery for Beginners: Basic Class

In this workshop, you’ll have the chance to slow down and discover embroidery both as a craft and a form of creative expression. Barbara will guide you step by step as you learn to work with fabric, embroidery hoop, needle and thread – even if you've never embroidered before.
You’ll get to know a versatile selection of stitches: backstitch, wrapped backstitch, woven rose, and leaf stitch. These techniques can be used to create flowers, letters, borders, textures or simple illustrations.
Once you feel confident with the stitches, you’ll design your own motif. Barbara will support you with clarity and empathy. The course is designed to help you get started with ease and bring your ideas to life.
The main language of the workshop is English, but don't let that put you off in case you don't speak English because Barbara can also help you with your first embroidery attempts in German.
