Indoor Sketching - Berlin Edition

In this course, artist and urban sketcher Danny Hawk will share his tips and tricks for sketching Berlin places and buildings with ink and watercolor. It will take place indoors at our Modulor Studio and will provide you with a basic understanding of how ink drawings and watercolor can be combined to create sketches rich in contrast, depth and texture. After warm up exercises that focus on techniques such as line work, layering and creating shadows with watercolor, you will be able to apply these newly-learned skills to places in Berlin under the guidance of the instructor through photos provided as reference material (you are also welcome to bring your own photos). The selected images will focus on architecture and nature and will be from Berlin and its surroundings.
This course is geared towards beginners with previous experience and advanced sketchers who would like to try new techniques, although participants of any level are welcome to join.
The workshop will be held in english.
