Urban Sketching in Berlin

Wie fängt man die Atmosphäre eines Ortes mit wenigen Linien und gezielten Farbakzenten ein? In diesem Workshop zeigt dir der Zeichner Danny Hawk, worauf es beim Urban Sketching ankommt – von der schnellen Skizze bis zur ausgearbeiteten Szene.
Der Fokus liegt auf Architektur, Natur, Komposition und Layout. Nach einer kurzen Einführung und ein paar Aufwärmübungen im Modulor-Studio geht’s raus: Du skizzierst direkt vor Ort und lernst, wie du mit Blick und Stift die Stadt erzählerisch einfängst. Sollte das Wetter nicht mitspielen, arbeitest du im Studio mit Fotovorlagen weiter.
Der Workshop richtet sich an Fortgeschrittene und Anfänger*innen mit Vorkenntnissen.
Danny spricht fließend Deutsch und Englisch – der Workshop ist bilingual.

How do you capture the atmosphere of a place with just a few lines and targeted color accents? In this workshop, illustrator Danny Hawk will show you what is important in urban sketching - from a quick sketch to a fully developed scene.
The focus is on architecture, nature, composition and layout. After a short introduction and a few warm-up exercises in the Modulor studio, it's time to go out: you sketch directly on location and learn how to capture the city narratively with your eyes and pencil. If the weather doesn't cooperate, you'll continue working in the studio with photo templates
The workshop is aimed for advanced participants and beginners with prior experience.
Danny speaks fluent German and English - the workshop is bilingual.
